Explore, discover and learn this month in Burlington at a variety of events and unique sites located across the city!
The 8th annual Culture Days weekend will take place September 30 – October 1. This national initiative aims to raise awareness, provide accessibility and encourage participation and engagement in the arts and cultural life in the cities we call home.
Here in Burlington, the fun will kick off on Friday evening at Spencer Smith Park with an “AMplify the Culture” Session. Featuring live, ambient music with a guided talk, participants will also have the opportunity to express what culture in Burlington means to them. The event will take place in the gazebo from 6 – 8 p.m.
On Saturday, Doors Open Burlington will take place in conjunction with Culture Days from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Residents and visitors can take advantage of this unique opportunity to view the city from a new perspective and celebrate the cultural importance of the sites to the community. Sites included in the 2017 edition of Doors Open are Burlington Masonic Centre, Ireland House Museum, Lowville Schoolhouse, St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and many others. Admission is free!
